Directions:
  1. Determine amount to use.
       pH of 6.8 -7.2 use 1 oz. ( 2 tablespoons )
       pH below 6.8 use 2 oz. ( 4 tablespoons )
  2. Make sure equipment is OFF.
  3. Add applicable amount to the spa water.
  4. Turn on circulation system for 1-3 hours.
  5. Retest water after 3 hours.
  6. If pH is still below 7.2, repeat steps 1-5.

Tip: For best results, dissolve granular products first by adding to a small, plastic pail filled with water.
Then, apply the solution to the spa water.
 

Directions:
  1. Turn ON air blower or filter system.
  2. Add 1 oz. directly into spa.
  3. Retest water after 30 minutes.
  4. Follow steps 1-3 until pH and total alkalinity are in the range of 7.2-7.8 and 80-120 ppm respectively.

Tip: Add small quantities at a time allowing the water to completely mix and come into equilibrium before retesting. Large dose at once may drive the pH too high. Easier to stay within the pH range when using liquid.
Lock in pH between refills with Leisure Time pH Balance or pH Balance Plus.
 

Directions For Use:
  1. Measure pH of water with suitable test kit.
  2. If pH is below 7.2, add pH Increaser at the rate of 0.8 ounces ( 2 tablespoons ) per 500 gallons of spa water.

General Information:
pH Increaser is used to raise the pH of spa water to an ideal level.
The pH of the spa should be maintained at 7.4 - 7.6 for optimum sanitizer activity and best water quality. The ideal pH  for plaster spas is 7.4, and for fiberglass spas, the ideal pH is 7.6. A proper pH level is one of the most important factors in the maintenance of a spa. A low pH mat cause eye irritation, lead to corrosion of metal fixtures in equipment such as pumps, filters, and heaters thereby causing stains on spa surfaces, and other problems. An accurate test should be performed on a regular basis to measure the pH of the spa water.

Note:
If the pH of the spa water has been below 7.2 for an extended period, dissolved metal from pool equipment may cause staining of the surface or discoloration of water as pH is raised. Test water for copper and iron before proceeding further.

General:
Spa pH Increaser increases the pH of water which should be maintained between a pH of 7.2 and &.7.6.
Maintaining spa water pH in recommended ranges is key to proper water balance.

Directions:
  1. Test spa water for pH level.
  2. Compare pH test results to chart below to determine appropriate amount of pH increaser necessary to make adjustment.
  3. With the spa not in use and circulation pump operating, add required amount directly into spa water.
  4. Continue circulating water a minimum of 30 minutes.
  5. Retest, adjust if necessary.

Notes:
Total alkalinity should be maintained between 80 - 120 ppm

Directions:
   1. Test spa for total alkalinity level
   2. Compare test results to chart below to determine appropriate amount of increaser to make adjustments.
   3. With spa circulating pump on high speed add required amount directly into the spa water.
   4. Continue circulating water a minimum of 20 minutes.

General Information:
Low total alkalinity of the spa water may result in corrosion to metal and plastic components of the spa system, cause staining, etching or distortion. By raising the total alkalinity, you not only prevent these problems, but also eliminate "pH bounce" by buffering the water against changes in the pH. The total alkalinity of the spa water should be maintained between 100-150 ppm for plaster spas, and 125-150 ppm for vinyl, fiberglass, and non-masonry finishes. NOTE: if the pH has been below 7.2 and/or total alkalinity has been below 60 ppm for a extended period of time, dissolved metal from spa equipment  may cause staining of spa surface or discoloration of water as pH is raised. Test water for copper and iron before proceeding further. Use od a metal sequestrant such as PROtech Spa Stain & Scale Control will help to solve this problem.

Directions For Use:
Consult your spa dealer to determine the proper total alkalinity range for your water. If your water tests low, add Alkalinity Increaser directly to the spa water with the pump and filter running. Do not premix or dissolve.
