Visible algae growth:
32 oz. of POOLTRINE per 10,000 gallons of pool water.

Initial clean water treatment:
18 oz. of POOLTRINE per 10,000 gallons of pool water.

Maintenance:
6 oz. of POOLTRINE per 10,000 gallons of pool water weekly.

Normal:
1. Pools containing heavy algae growth should be cleaned prior to using POOLTRINE. 24 hours after treating visible algae growth, algae debris should be removed using standard cleaning procedures.
2. Dilute POOLTRINE 60 with at least nine parts of water before applying. Pour required amount of POOLTRINE 60 into a plastic watering can and fill with water.
3. Maintaining constant pool circulation, sprinkle solution around edge of pool.

Applications:
Normal:
1. Dilute with at least nine parts of water in bucket before applying. For visable algae: Apply 3 oz. per 10,000 gallons. For prevention of algae: Apply 1.5 oz. per 10,000 gallons every other week.
2. Pour solution around the edge of pool where algae occurs. It is best to apply solution in the morning on sunny days for maximum effectiveness.

Normal:
Dilute in a bucket with at least nine parts of water before applying. To remove black deposits: Brush areas vigorously with a stiff or special algae brush immediately prior to application. This will help break up the black algae colonies that have formed. Apply Black Algaetrine (12 oz. per 10,000 gallons). Brush again once each day for two days following application. Remove any settled algae by vacuuming. Reapply treatment if necessary.

Tips:
Algaecides are most effective when applied in the morning on warm, sunny days. Because black algae is protected by a tough, waxy coat, it is important to use an algaecide specifically for black algae such as Black Algaetrine.
